Karol Brown

Watercolor Artist & Photograher

Karol is a diversified watercolor artist painting landscapes, still life, southwest, flowers, chickens and roosters. She is best known for her Colorado landscapes. She connects with aspen and incorporates them in most of her landscape paintings.

Karol is drawn to scenes that show the light bouncing off objects and the shadows of nature that it creates. She uses many vibrant colors in her shadows. Karol’s love for the Colorado Mountains and their great beauty continues to inspire her, always looking forward to the next painting or photograph.

Colorado's former Governor and Frances Owens have purchased three of Karol’s watercolor paintings.  “Maroon Bells” is one of their paintings and the other two Karol was commissioned to paint for them to use for their 2000 & 2005 Christmas Cards.  One of their commissions was the “Millennium Tree” from the Pike National Forest.

Karol was commissioned by the National Homeland Defense Foundation in Colorado Springs. Her Watercolor creations have been used for their annual Homeland Defense Symposiumn at The Broadmoor Hotel.
